Recap: Work

31 May 2008 0 views Comments

So, Monday was Memorial Day.  A day when all American’s honor our fallen men (and women!) who fought bravely for our Country.

I spent Monday pretty much recouperating from the weekend, and with Bill who was still a little shaken up from his car accident over the weekend.

We gave each-other a massage Monday and fooled around in the shower as we were washing off all the oil.

Tuesday was back to the grind, but one of my employee’s resigned with literally no notice (well Friday was to be her last day).  Can’t say that I blamed her, she got a pretty decent job offer, but it started the already short week off crazy.

Lots of paperwork to fill out, and phone calls to make, and it wasn’t like I didn’t already have a full plate to begin with!

I found out Tuesday that I’m going to have to go to Washington to meet with several members of Congress about some things.  I should be in Washington for about two days, but I doubt I’ll be able to go until after Independence Day.  Probably July 8–9 is what I’m guessing.  Wait, July 4th is on a Friday this year?  Woo hoo!  Long weekend coming!

Wednesday was full of planning meetings, and meetings to plan more meetings.

I haven’t had my laptop on a lot this week because I haven’t been in my office a lot (water leak) and have been forced to find other places to work.

Had lunch with a colleague from CNN on Thursday at Fox Grille in Atlantic Station.

Oh my Gods; I hardly get over to that side of town and let me just say the construction on the 14th Street Bridge and near Techwood is absolutely insane.

I was going to work from home on Friday, but I realized that I left my smart card in my office so I had to come in because I wouldn’t have been able to VPN in otherwise.

All in all, a good week.

A hectic week, but a good week none-the-less.

Hope your’s was pretty decent as well.
